Politics of Deception is an independent civic intelligence platform examining how political narratives are created, amplified, and translated into real-world policy.

We are based in Connecticut’s 3rd Congressional District and cover local, state, and national developments with the same standard: verifiable evidence over assertion.

In an era of rapid information exchange and fragmented media, our purpose is not simply to report what was said. We examine how it was said, who said it, what incentives shape it, how it spreads across institutions and social platforms, and what consequences follow.

To deepen public understanding of political power, civic responsibility, and the democratic process by providing serious, structured, and evidence-based analysis.

We aim to give citizens the tools and context to think for themselves, not to tell them what to think.

What We Do

Politics of Deception focuses on the mechanics of political communication:

1. Narrative Analysis:Tracking how political claims are constructed and circulated across media, institutions, and public discourse.
2. Evidence Verification:Distinguishing assertion from substantiation by reviewing documentation, data, circumstances, and primary sources.
3. Incentive Mapping:Examining the institutional, financial, and media incentives that shape public messaging and policy outcomes.
4. Accountability Tracking:Monitoring representation, governance, and policy decisions that affect communities in Connecticut and beyond.

Current coverage areas include electoral integrity, candidate accountability, voting rights and registration, public policy, and community-level governance.

Our Standards

This platform is guided by non-negotiable principles:

• Verifiability: Every factual claim must be traceable to a credible source or primary document.
• Independence: No outside funding, no institutional backing, no editorial interference, no partisan affiliation.
• Transparency: We show our work. Sources, methods, and corrections are made visible.
• Non-Partisanship: We do not serve a party, candidate, or agenda. We serve the public record. We welcome constructive engagement from across the political spectrum that meets the same standard of accuracy and respect for the democratic process.

Where We Stand Today

Politics of Deception is in active development as a fully independent project.

The site is currently structured around its core pages — Home, About, and Contact — with a focus on design, credibility, and user experience. In parallel, we are developing original resources including candidate biographies, civic questionnaires, electoral analysis, and independent public opinion polling.

This groundwork is being laid deliberately. What is built here must be built to last.

The long-term vision is to expand into a broader civic engagement resource with public polling, accountability tools, local coverage, and resources to support informed democratic participation.

Politics of Deception was built on a simple and urgent conviction: the American public deserves access to political information that is honest, evidence-based, and free from partisan manipulation.

In a time defined by institutional distrust and the rapid circulation of unverified claims, the need for independent civic journalism has never been greater. This platform exists to meet that need — directly, transparently, and without compromise.

What you are seeing today is the foundation of something larger than a single website. It is the beginning of a fully independent civic media organization — one that takes the concerns of Connecticut communities seriously, reports on elected officials honestly, and gives citizens a place to be heard.

Building this independently while managing professional obligations and developing the technical skills to do it properly is not a small undertaking. It is, however, a necessary one.
